Annadhanam
Pranan is considered the life-giving force or the universal energy flowing within the body. Food is the source of that energy. One of the basic needs of all living beings is food. Annadhanam is the offering of food to the needy — a selfless act that blesses one with divine grace.
In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says: “One who finds food only for himself becomes the greatest sinner.” All Vedas, Sastras, and Upanishads proclaim that Annadhanam is the most superior form of Dhanam (Charity).
Combating Hunger
Today, the most deadly disease in the world is hunger. More people die due to hunger than most illnesses. A hungry person can only find peace when they receive food at the right moment. Feeding the hungry is worship of the Divine living within them.
Swamiji's Humanitarian Vision
Our Swamiji always abides by humanitarian principles. His mission is to ensure no one ends the day with hunger — be it a sadhu, a poor man, or even animals.
Our Commitment:
- Daily Feeding: During festivals and Utsav, nearly 600 to 800 people are fed daily.
- Universal Care: Food is provided not only to humans but also to birds, cows, and other creatures.
- Crisis Support: During the COVID pandemic, food was distributed to hundreds of needy people on the streets.
